We’re so excited to announce that Animal Farm, music supervised by Laura Katz with a score by Heitor Pereira, will be arriving in theaters May 1, 2026! Distributed by Angel Studios and directed by the legendary Andy Serkis, this animated adaptation of George Orwell’s classic allegory follows a group of farm animals who rebel against their owners, with unexpected results. The film premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on June 9, 2025, where Pete Hammond from Deadline stated that the film “looks to me to be one of the most important films of the year.” Serkis added, “Orwell’s Animal Farm has never felt more relevant. In an age where power, propaganda, and inequality shape our societies, it’s vital that we remember his cautionary tale. This adaptation isn’t just a story for entertainment — it’s a reminder that democracy, freedom, and integrity are fragile, and must be watched over. My hope is that audiences walk away moved, thoughtful, and inspired to stand up for the values that matter.” Check out the trailer above, and we’ll see you on the farm!
